About this Event
The Spectrum Creators is a 10 week program consisting of five 2-hour workshop days and 1 hour home based activity each alternating week. The program runs conveniently from 5pm to 7pm so that it will not impact valuable school time.
The TSC program was developed for autistic and neurodiverse learners aged 7-12 years old. TSC also welcomes children (within the age range) that have a passion for learning about autism and performing arts.
The program is driven by weekly learning objectives and outcomes, that take all participants on a journey of self discovery and expression. The young creators will be guided with professional facilitation from a qualified teacher in primary education. In addition to other music producing and filmmaking professionals. All TSC team members will be there to help each creator share their story and experience in a chosen art medium of drama/ music/ spoken word or poetry / dance or visual art.
The program aims to nurture the learners by boosting their confidence, exercising creativity and enhancing presentational, performance and social skills. The learners will get consistent opportunities to reflect on their progress leading up to the final showcase, where all participants will be performing their own creative material to a small audience.
