Yes! We're bringing back the roaring '20s, updated with 2024 laughs, for the much-anticipated reopening of The Speakeasy Comedy Club.

The Speakeasy Comedy Club at Lawson Flats is presented in partnership with Grassroots Comedy, Australia’s biggest comedian network.

Pre-Show Vibes - doors from 7pm

Start your night in style with live jazz, cocktails, and dinner in Luis', Lawson Flats' art-filled restaurant and bar (aka the perfect setting to mingle and warm up for the main event!).

Showtime - 9pm

Ascend to the luxurious comedy quarters where Perth's finest comedic talents will light up the stage. Prepare for a non-stop hour of high-energy humour and top-notch performances that will leave you walking away with a big grin to kick off your weekend.

ABOUT THE VENUE

Designed with members in mind, this inner-city Art Deco oasis has space to work, relax and play. Membership includes exclusive access to private meeting rooms, a bar, restaurant, art gallery, fully-equipped gym (including a sauna and movement studio) - plus a dynamic programme of cultural events - Lawson Flats is perhaps Perth’s most beautiful work space.

When you arrive at 4 Sherwood Court, walk up the emerald-green-carpeted stairs, and say hello to the friendly concierge who'll direct you to your event.

The restaurant upstairs in Lawson Flats - Luis’ - is open to all ticket holders, but please book a table in advance if you'd like to dine - [email protected].

Event attendees are always welcome to head up to the bar for drinks.

GETTING THERE

There is no car parking on site, but there are plenty of carparks in the CBD, including at Council House, and Pier Street. After 6pm many of the CCP carpark are free! Perth train station is about 10-minute walk away, and Elizabeth Quay station about a 5-minute walk. The Blue CAT runs along St Georges Terrace, and there are a series of five-minute car bays outside Lawson Flats, perfect for Uber drop offs and pick-ups.

ACCESSIBILITY

Lawson Flats aims to be a safe and welcoming space for all.

We have step-free access into the building via a concrete ramp off Sherwood Court into the northern side of the building (arriving from the St Georges Terrace side of the building). This entry provides direct access to the public art gallery too. Straight on from this step-free entry is the concierge desk, and the single lift which services all three floors. Lawson Flats is accessible for all mobility aids (wheelchairs, walking frames and scooters), prams, and assistance and guide dogs.

There’s a lot of dark green carpet in the venue - and dark coloured walls in some spaces - so in various areas, including the stairs, the contrast is low. However, there are big windows in most of the rooms, so natural light filters through the rooms. If you have any visual impairments, and need a guide through the space to familiarise yourself with the layout, don’t hesitate to ask the concierge team.

There is an accessible toilet on the first floor (bar/restaurant level), by the lift entrance/ exit.
