About this Event

The Southern Enterprise Corridor – stretching from Port Botany through Sydney Airport, north toward Green Square, Eveleigh and bordered by Tech Central - is one of the most economically significant corridors in Australia – an engine room of productivity, connectivity and innovation. But as pressure builds from population growth, housing demand and global competition, the important role of this corridor for our city’s – and nation’s economy is underappreciated.

What is the future of industrial land in the precinct? How are new industries scaling in the area and what do they look like? What is the role of precincts like Waterloo in delivering affordable housing? How do we ensure that the precincts that make this corridor make great jobs, economic productivity and great places?

Bringing together diverse perspectives from government, industry and the community, this event will unpack the role this corridor plays, and ensuring we future-proof and shape land-use in a changing economy.

Speakers:

  • Hon. Anoulack Chanthivong MP, Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building, and Minister for Corrections
