About this Event
Overview:
Slow down and savour the comfort of scratch-made soup and fresh, warm bread in this cozy, seasonal cooking class. Each session features a delicious soup-and-bread pairing inspired by the flavours of the season—whether it’s summer tomatoes and focaccia or Moroccan soup and pita in spring.
Designed for all skill levels, this class is ideal for anyone who loves wholesome food, simple techniques, and hands-on fun.
What to Expect:
You’ll work in small groups to prepare a hearty soup and a complementary bread. Learn knife skills, how to season and layer flavour in soup, and bread-making techniques like kneading, shaping, and proofing. At the end of class, enjoy a warm sit-down meal of your creations—or pack them up to take home.

Summer – Tomato Soup & Herb Focaccia
Bright, fresh tomato soup served with olive oil-rich focaccia topped with seasonal herbs.
Fall – Root Vegetable Soup & Soft Dinner Rolls
A deeply comforting soup paired with hand-shaped, fluffy dinner rolls.
Winter – Mushroom Barley Soup & Dinner Rolls
A hearty, rustic classic to warm up the coldest days.
Spring – Moroccan Spiced Soup & Homemade Pita Bread
Lightly spiced, aromatic soup paired with soft, hand-shaped pita bread—perfect for dipping.
Hands-On Techniques
- Chop, season, and simmer a full soup from start to finish
