In a journey through the timeless traditions of Sufi and folk music, Devenderpal Singh brings to life melodies that feel instantly familiar. ‘The Sound of Home’ draws from the rich cultural heritage of North India, bringing together beloved melodies in Hindi and Punjabi.

At the heart of the concert are the verses of Baba Farid and Bulleh Shah, whose poetry speaks of divine love, compassion, humility, and the search for truth beyond boundaries. The programme also embraces the evocative poetry of Shiv Kumar Batalvi, whose lyrical explorations of love, separation, and human vulnerability lend emotional depth to the performance.

Together, these poetic voices create a landscape where the sacred and the personal, the mystical and the earthly, coexist in harmony. Through compositions that celebrate devotion, joy, and the resilience of the human spirit, the concert reflects on home as more than a place and as a feeling carried through music, language, poetry, and the stories we inherit.

Indian playback singer Singh first gained national recognition as a finalist on Indian Idol 6 before making his playback debut with Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana in 2012. His film credits include Firangi, Manmarziyaan, Jubilee, Goodbye, Uunchai, Jogi, Chamkila, Black Warrant, Ardaas Karaan, and Jai Mummy Di.
