'The Sound Healing Symphony' is coming to the East Bay ✨💜✨.

Come celebrate, relax and let your nervous system fully relax after the whirlwind of the summer. Bathe in restorative sounds from head to toe.

This is the Bay Area's home-grown gathering that's become the largest sound bath in the nation. Our mission is to help people everywhere relieve stress and access deep states of meditation. Conducted by Guy Douglas, 'The Sound Healing Symphony' is a gathering where meditative musicians come together in harmony.

Sweet's Ballroom, which hosts the weekly Ecstatic Dance gatherings, is a stunning art deco dance hall built in 1924 that once hosted the likes of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Frank Sinatra during the Big Band era.

Doors open at 7:00 PM to settle in and get comfortable.

The sound bath starts at 8:00 PM.

Guests are encouraged to wear warm and comfortable clothing. Bring a bottle of water because that's always a good idea.

We recommend that you bring:

• A yoga mat
• Blanket
• (Optional) Pillow for added comfort

The more comfortable you are, the deeper the experience. Create a little 'nest' to bring you deeper on your journey.

Sound meditation (often known as 'sound healing' or 'sound baths') is the practice of listening to soothing sounds to reach profound states of clarity and relaxation. It opens up deep meditative states that are usually unreachable without considerable effort. During the event, participants lie down and are bathed head to toe in sound — it's a very hypnotic, ethereal experience.

You will come away with a clear mind and a deeper appreciation for the wonder of sound. We strongly recommend this event for people who have trouble meditating, or feel like they just "can't get there." Give this a try!

Our symphony is conducted by Guy Douglas, and features an array of amazing & talented musicians on gongs, crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, Native American flutes, Didgeridoo, Celtic Harp, Monochord, Vibraphone and so much more —

Guy Douglas, also known as "The Gong Guy", {conductor, singing bowls & gongs}

Guy has been a sound healing practitioner and gong master for over 15 years. He has been involved with the healing power of music his whole life from a variety of perspectives: writing, recording, producing, and performing. He values a philosophy of music that helps clear dormant pathways to open the heart. As one of the executive directors of SMP, he's on a mission to share these sounds — particularly the gong.

Arula {vocalist}

Arula is an electronic music producer, vocalist, and sound healing facilitator whose work sits at the intersection of sound, movement, and ritual, using music as a force of transformation, sacred sensuality, and collective healing. She guides listeners into realms of divine feminine remembrance with a haunting and celestial, voice.

Russell Feingold {didgeridoo & Native American flute}

Russell is a shamanic sound healer, ceremonialist, and author of Heart Wisdom, with more than 25 years on the path of Peruvian Shamanism and over 30 years of experience in holistic healing, meditation, and energy medicine. Grounded in deep care for community and Pachamama, he is a cherished collaborator and soon-to-be board member of our new nonprofit.

Diana Rowan {harp}

Born in Ireland and raised as the child of an Irish diplomat, Diana is a harpist and pianist whose music interweaves global sound, art, spirituality, and mythology, with a 30+ year performance career spanning six continents — from the World Harp Congress Australia to the Smithsonian and Istanbul University. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, she holds a Ph.D. in Music Theory and is the author of "The Bright Way: Five Steps to Freeing the Creative Within" (New World Library, 2020)
