"The Souls of St. Cloud Hill" is a historical reenactment that brings to life the stories of the United States Colored Troops whose sacrifice at the Battle of Nashville on Fort Negley ( also called St. Cloud Hill) helped shape the freedom we now celebrate as the Federal Juneteenth Holiday. Rooted in Nashville's local history, this work honors the voices and narratives too often left out of the story and brings them back to life through the artists who embody them.
