About this Event

The Anatoliama Inc and the Maliotis Cultural Center are thrilled to welcome Petroloukas Halkias, the living legend of Greek traditional music. Mr. Halkias is a true master of the clarinet, who has performed the music of Epirus worldwide while recording some of the most successful albums in the history of Greek music. His recent duo albums "The Soul of Epirus" with laouto player Vasilis Kostas have gained great reviews internationally and have been performed at the Philarmonie de Paris in France and at the Megaro Concert hall in Athens, Greece. At this concert and along with Aimilia Chalkia on the voice, from Greece, and George Lernis on the percussion, they will present a versatile program of Epirus music while featuring the New England Greek Orchestra program and the St.Romanos the Melodist Byzantine Choir directed by Fr.Romanos.
