All the way from Atlanta, Georgia, legendary US soul outfit The SOS Band are heading to Manchester to celebrate 45 years of their biggest and most enduring hit, ‘Just Be Good To Me’.
Written and recorded in the autumn of 1982 and released in 1983 on the iconic On The Rise album, the track became a huge international success, reaching No. 2 on the US Billboard R&B chart and the UK Top 10, while dominating dancefloors for weeks.
For Manchester’s soul, jazz-funk and rare groove fans, ‘Just Be Good To Me’ needs no introduction. It was a defining dancefloor anthem at the legendary Jazz Funk & Soul Sunday all-dayers at The Ritz Ballroom – and remains an absolute classic.
Now, The SOS Band bring their unmistakable sound, timeless hits and legendary live show back to Manchester for a very special celebration.
