The Sometimes Annual Sean Duffy Memorial Half Marathon

Join us for this self-paced, all ages, hot AF event that begs the question, "why would anyone plan a half marathon in Austin in JULY?"

If you were wondering why this is a memorial event for someone who is still currently alive, you now have your answer.

In the past 4 or 5 events, the field of participants has included as many as 2 people (that we are aware of). Will this be the first year that someone takes home the coveted third place finisher's medal? Only time, and an updated RSVP count, will tell.

Q: Can I ride a scooter in lieu of running?

A: Unfortunately, even if the scooter was legally registered, scooters are strictly forbidden due to venue restrictions and organizer convictions.

Q: Will there be aid stations along the course?

A: Yes! There are water fountains along the course and participants are encouraged to bring bandages or other preventative aid supplies in a small fanny-pack or other carrying device.

Q: Will the race end at Barton Springs as it always does?

A: Great question, Dan. Yes, we will end the race with a cold dip in the springs.

Q: Will Sean finish in 2nd place like he always does?

A: Possibly! Really depends on how many participants there are. Dan will definitely finish first, but the other podium spots are fair game!

Q: Can I pay for my ticket in bitcoin?

A: Unfortunately, only USD and Doge Coin are acceptable forms of payment if any potential participants select the opt-out ticket option.
