Come resource from a community of soul-spelunkers.
This workshop will experiment with embodied practices for opening our whole selves to mystical experience - which is to say, a direct, unmediated encounter with the invisible realms that lie beyond the material world.
Together we'll explore transportative movements that embody the four elements, vocalization like chanting and messaging through sound, and carefully-orchestrated (and trauma-informed) laying on of hands, to peel away the veil and let us glimpse what might lie beyond. We'll open with an accessible somatic practice, with various tools from polyvagal techniques to EFT (tapping) to self-touch. We'll then gather our focus to the key practices for recovering the lost perceptual pathways that were so available to our ancestors. We'll then pause for solitary integration, with time for journaling (or drawing or contemplative practice), and an option for drinking in the James Turrell closed loop of "Greeting the Light." We'll end with discussions in small groups and a closing circle.
These practices help us to reclaim our intuitive sense of how we are led to be and act in today's confusing world.
Come be in community, to bid farewell to this cra-a-azy year and prepare ourselves in body, mind, and spirit to welcome something very different in 2026.
