About this Event
Quantum computing is moving rapidly from scientific research towards practical, commercial application. As the technology develops, the focus is increasingly on where it can solve problems that are difficult or impossible for today’s computing technology and what it will take to move from experimentation to real-world deployment.
This event will be practical and commercially grounded, aimed at decision-makers exploring when and how quantum computing could deliver competitive advantage. We will look at emerging use cases, how quantum may work alongside classical computing and AI, in addition to where the technology could have the greatest impact.
The discussion will also consider the risks that come with that progress, including the threat quantum computing could pose to current encryption methodologies and what organisations may need to do now to prepare.
We are collaborating with Quantum Exponential to bring together a set of industry experts in the Quantum space to discuss these key questions and the implication.

The panel discussion will be moderated by Stuart Nicol (Chief Investment Officer, Quantum Exponential).
In addition, there will also be five short flash-talk presentations from the innovative companies:
- Aegiq uses particles of light to build next-generation computing and ultra-secure communication systems. Their compact, data-center-ready systems are used to solve complex computational problems and protect data infrastructure across aerospace, defense, cybersecurity, and AI.
- IBM Quantum is building the advanced hardware and software needed to solve problems too complex for regular computers. They provide public cloud access to real quantum hardware for global industries, researchers, and developers to accelerate scientific discovery.
- Oxford Quantum Circuits is Europe's first Quantum Computing-as-a-Service provider and the first globally to deploy quantum computers directly into commercial data centers in major hubs like London, Tokyo, and New York
- Quantum Motion builds scalable, fault-tolerant quantum computers. They use industry-standard silicon manufacturing technology—the same process used to make everyday smartphone and laptop chips—to produce compact quantum processors that fit directly into standard data center server racks.
- Universal Quantum develop modular trapped-ion quantum processors designed to link microchip modules together via electric fields, solving the complex wiring and scaling challenges of quantum computing.
