QTG is excited to host Angelica Amanda Andrade to discuss the social impact of tailings management from a particularly personal perspective.
Angelica is an English teacher who was born in the small town of Brumadinho, Brazil. On January 25, 2019, she tragically lost her sister, Natalia, when the B1 tailings dam in one of Vale's mining complexes collapsed, causing a mudflow that killed 270 people, mainly staff, and impacted houses, farms, bridges, and roads downstream.
Rio Tinto has kindly offered to host at 'The Pit' at their offices in the Brisbane CBD.
