Critically acclaimed by Rolling Stone and WIRED magazine, this New York-based Smiths tribute makes its Sony Hall debut alongside top Cure tribute Staring at the Sea for a night dedicated to two of alternative music’s most influential bands. Featuring a frontman the same age as Morrissey during the band’s 1980s peak, The Smiths Tribute NYC performs classic songs and deep cuts with uncanny precision, and has sold out shows from Boston to Austin to Los Angeles, sharing stages with members of Guided by Voices, Nada Surf and Morrissey’s former touring band. The band recently completed a run of sold-out theatre shows performing The Queen Is Dead is full on its 40th anniversary.
