Dinner will include a delicious 3- course menu featuring locally sourced produce accompanied by Opici Wine. Attendees will select an appetizer, main course, and dessert with options including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
The dinner will begin promptly, so please arrive at 6 pm for your reservation.
About The Marshal: Since opening nearly ten years ago in 2013, The Marshal has been reminding New Yorkers that they live in the heart of a thriving, productive, and award-winning wine country by featuring only NY wineries on The Marshal wine list. Chef Charlie Marshall grew up in his parent's restaurant and on their farm on Lummi Island, in Puget Sound. The Marshal strives to emulate Chef Charlie's roots by creating approachable yet elevated farm-to-table cuisine.
About Opici Wine & Spirits: An importer and producer of fine wines and artisanal spirits, Opici Wines and Spirits has been family owned and operated since its inception. Founded in 1913 and re-established upon the repeal of Prohibition in 1934, Opici became a household name under the leadership of the late Hubert Opici, an “American Wine Legend.” Today, the company is managed by Don Opici, fourth generation, and boasts a portfolio of more than 40 brands from around the world.
Opici Wine and Spirits is proud to have expanded its sustainable and organic wine selection over the past decade. The company has partnered with wineries that value sustainability and organic wine production and is actively sourcing producers that meet the growing demand for these wines in the US market. Today, 25% of the Opici Wine and Spirits portfolio is composed of wines that are certified sustainable or organic.
About Slow Food NYC: Slow Food NYC works to create a food system based on the principles of high quality and taste, environmental sustainability, and social justice—in essence, a food system that is good, clean, and fair. We seek to move our culture away from the destructive effects of an industrial food system and towards the cultural, social, health, and economic benefits of a sustainable food system, regional food traditions, and the pleasures of the table.
Your support will help us advance Slow Food's mission of good, clean, and fair food for all by educating, nourishing, and building community. Proceeds will be used to fund our Ujima Garden, where we host educational programs for children, and distribute the garden's annual harvest to members of the East New York community; our Snail of Approval program through which we promote food and beverage establishments that are pursuing our values; and a series of events through which we educate and build community among New Yorkers eager to learn about and advance our mission for good, clean, and fair food for all.
