This World Sleep Day, we invite you to experience an immersive evening dedicated to our core pillar: Sleep Well. Designed to educate, restore and nourish, this thoughtfully curated event brings together leading voices in psychology, nutrition and biomedical science to explore how sleep underpins every aspect of our wellbeing, from mental clarity and emotional balance to longevity and performance.
The evening begins with an engaging panel discussion followed by an interactive Q&A and networking experience. Our expert panel will explore the science of sleep, the gut–brain connection, stress regulation, healthy ageing and the practical strategies that support deep, restorative rest. Our expert-led panel brings together Dr Zac Turner, biomedical scientist and medical doctor completing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at UNSW, Registered Psychologist and gut–mind specialist Georgia Ray, and Holistic Nutrition Coach Sabrina Ungaro. Together, they combine science, psychology and practical nutrition to explore sleep as the foundation of longevity, the powerful connection between the gut and mental wellbeing, and how sustainable lifestyle habits support long-term vitality, recovery and overall health.
Following the panel and conversation, guests will transition into a guided Yin Yoga session designed to calm the nervous system and prepare the body for rest. Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice that focuses on long-held, passive postures targeting the deep connective tissues, fascia and joints. By stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system — our “rest and digest” state. Yin encourages stillness, reduces cortisol levels and supports the body’s natural melatonin production. The practice improves circulation and flexibility while creating a profound sense of relaxation, making it the perfect bridge between education and embodied restoration.
To conclude the evening, guests will enjoy an Eat Well dining experience thoughtfully curated in collaboration with Executive Chef Massimo of The Westin Brisbane and KAILO Nutritionist, Sabrina. This carefully designed menu celebrates balanced, nourishing ingredients that support gut health, stable blood sugar, hormonal balance and evening relaxation. Each dish is created not only to delight the senses, but to demonstrate how intentional nutrition can directly influence sleep quality and overall wellbeing.
