The Sink Rhythm & Soul Club is going back to its roots……we are returning to the original venue at 45 Hardman Street, Liverpool L1 9AS which was the home of the Sink Club from 1963–1971! 😎 The new venue is now called QUARRY and is in the basement of the club, the upstairs bar is now a lovely restaurant with delicious food.Sunday 15th February is the date for your diary, it will be an amazing afternoon/evening down in the iconic basement club where it all began all those years ago.
We are so looking forward to returning to 45 Hardman Street, we relocated to Heebie Jeebies when the club was sold and turned into a comedy club but now it has new owners who have transformed it into a live music venue and refurbished it sympathetically retaining much of the character of the original venue.
There will be a few changes to our events from now on, we will have a new running time of 2pm till 9pm and to complement our resident DJs Stan Evans, Pete Everett, Dennis Haw & Tony Brookes we will have a different guest DJ at each event. We will announce our guest DJs a couple of weeks before each event.
Please note that QUARRY has a slightly smaller capacity than Heebies, we will have an exact number of wristbands on the door and once they are gone there will be no entry so please try to arrive early. Entry is just £5 on the door 😀
As for the music……as always we will be spinning a top mix of tunes including 60s Club Soul, Rhythm & Blues, Jamaican sounds, British Beat, Motown, 60s Garage, northern soul and more.
Hope you can make it along to the first of hopefully many events in this legendary venue, see you all on Sunday 15th February 😎🤙
