IST About the program: The Sindhu Project: Enigma of Roots traces shared family histories of both the artists' Gunjan Kumar and Mahwish Chishty as they link their familial history to the Indus region. Through parallel journeys involving familial roots and enigmas of inhabited places across time, Chishty and Kumar bring contemporary art-making into dialogue with excavated forms that contribute to imagining this ancient riverine landscape.

Speakers:
• Shaleen Wadhwana, Curator of The Sindhu Project. She is an independent Arts Educator and Humanities curriculum designer
• Gunjan Kumar is an artist, independent scholar and educator based in Chicago originally from Punjab, India. She is currently a resident at the Chicago Art Department, Chicago(2021-2022).
• Mahwish Chishty is Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is a recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and other fellowships and awards
• Naman P. Ahuja, Ph.D. (London University) is a Professor of Indian Art and Architecture, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi
• Zohreen Murtaza is a graduate of National College of Arts, Lahore and completed her MA (Hons.) Visual Art Degree from NCA. Currently she is a Lecturer and Permanent Faculty member in the Cultural Studies Department at NCA.

-Wearing mask is mandatory at all the times within the premises.
