Simple has now been rattling the nightclubs of Oxford for 25 years... a true pioneering promoter of cutting edge house and techno on our doorstep, bringing some of the worlds biggest names in dance music to the city every year.
So it was suggested we throw a party to celebrate. Something bigger than usual. And we're truly blessed to be hosting two of the greatest Djs of our time as well as a whole host of local talent...
And not only that, we'll be setting up two stages; one outside during the daytime and one inside for the nighttime session...
𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗗 𝗘𝗗𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗦
A man who needs no introduction. One of the most legendary garage & house producers of our time. He made his name in the mid 1990s defining his own unique sound full of vocal chops and bouncy rhythms which went on to be a huge influence on the UK garage scene. As well as his production skills, he is notably an incredible singer and went on to collaborate with Daft Punk, singing & co-producing on chart topping hits, 'Face To Face' from the Discovery album & 'Fragments Of Time' from Random Access Memories which went on to win several Grammy Awards for Album of the Year, Best Dance/Electronica Album, and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.
It doesn't get much bigger than this in dance music. Very special for Oxford and guaranteed to be a show to remember...Todd Edwards will be headlining the outdoor stage in the early evening.

Hailing from Streatham, South London, Oneman has been present on the scene for well over a decade, nearly two!...his early days getting hooked on London's many pirate radio stations, on dubstep and garage sounds that were resonating from Brixton's DMZ and Shoreditch's FWD, and the vibrant & chaotic nightlife in noughties London helped lay the foundations of his career. Now in 2024, his Boiler Room sets are legendary, he's logged hundreds of shows on Rinse FM and he's played some of the biggest night clubs & festivals around the globe.
As a DJ, Oneman is hard to pin down, jumping from genre to genre proving that all music can be mixed he's developed a style where no direction is a wrong turn; house, rnb, pop, 80s, disco, dubstep, hip hop and many more can merge to create the wildest party.
He does it like no other, don't miss - Oneman will be closing the night inside.

Artist, Producer and DJ, Lily McKenzie, has built a reputation around her thoughtful lyrics, emotive vocal tones and distinctive flow within the UK House and Garage scene. Through her career, she has forged collaborative relationships with acclaimed producers and artists such as Sonny Fodera / Jess Bays / Saffron Stone and DJQ to name a few. Sonically drawing from the likes of Banks / Fred Again and Disclosure fusing this with her earworm knack of song writing, Lily’s objective is to create sharp / infectious / songs that connect and stand the test of time...future classics if you will.
In 2023 she collaborated with Todd Edwards & Interplanetary Criminal on the legendary Locked on Records to critical acclaim. Her newest single, 'Ghosts' with Eats Everything and Chris Lorenzo has blown up over the radio (getting played daily on BBC Radio1, Kiss, Capitol, Apple Music and more) and is sure to be one of this summer's biggest hits.

Leading the charge from London via Banbury, DEE will be kicking off the party with a set of carefully curated tech house & minimal. As well as her residency at Also Known As, gigs across London & Europe and having torn the fence down with her set at last year's Wilderness festival, she will set the tone perfectly for the rest of the day.

Perhaps the MOST soulful house DJ and producer in Oxford. His pure passion for house music is hard to match. He's well known for his marathon sets (clocking in several 24 hour charity gigs in recent years) runs a regular show on BBC Radio Oxford and has had numerous TV spots and residencies around the world. Having done 15 years at Cowley Road Carnival, he's the perfect DJ to get the good vibes rolling in the open air.

Rich T is an electronic music obsessive who got drawn into the rave scene of the early 90s, and started DJ'ing Jungle and Hardcore music in his teens. Over the years he's been involved with various events in and around London and Oxford playing an eclectic mix of House, Breaks, Bass and Tech, always playing to the crowd and adapting his style on the fly. Oxford-based DJ known for going heavy on the Electro, Breaks, IDM, Techno, DnB and Acid. He's played a major part in some of the past year's Simple parties, most notably closing in astonishing style at our huge Joy Orbison rave in February. His mixes have no boundaries covering a broad range of styles that will always take you on a journey to the unknown.

The unstoppable Effi Brooks, known for absolutely smashing the dancefloors of Oxfordshire and beyond for several years now. She launched her own label Meraki Audio and has a string of releases due in 2024. With a reputation for seamless heavyweight DJ sets, she's fast becoming a force to be reckoned with.
Bob E Demons, known recently for his sets at the Brewer's Night Off and Simple events, likes to mix things up, devilishly blending things that shouldn't blend, lots of percussive techno, house, old school acid, bleeps and bass and global rhythms.
These two contemporaries merging minds for the first time ever will undoubtedly produce some seriously classy chaos on the dancefloor.
