The beloved annual performance returns to The Parkway for the sixth consecutive year!
Celebrating the 56th anniversary of this iconic album (originally released in September 1969), the acclaimed Minneapolis collective The Shabby Road Orchestra presents a live performance of the Beatles’ Abbey Road, the band’s final release and one of the best-selling albums of all time.
Abbey Road will be played note-for-note, from start-to-finish, followed by a second set of material spanning the Fab Four’s incredible catalog. A musical blitz supported by a surplus of brass, woodwinds, and strings!
The Shabby Road Orchestra is a Minneapolis ensemble dedicated to the live recreation of the Beatles’ late-period recordings, note-for-note as heard on the band’s final five albums. Every show is different, but always includes a broad selection of rarely-performed material from the Fab Four’s much-loved catalog
In addition to performing Abbey Road from start to finish, the band will return for a second set of material from Sgt. Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, and Let it Be. This event’s 16-piece roster includes percussionist-vocalist Ken Chastain; guitarist-vocalists Joe Carey, Brandon Sampson, John Eller, and Adam Levy; bassist John Fields; brass and woodwind players Dave Foley, Andy Nelson, and John Sievers; keyboardists Tom and Paul Scott; Jacqueline Ultan on cello; Devan Moran and Zachary Scanlan on violins; and Erica Burton on viola
