About this Event
Join the Chicago Degrowth Book Club and Degrowth Institute on March 16 for a collaborative discussion about The Serviceberry, author Robin Wall Kimmerer’s latest book. Touted by the San Francisco Chronicle as “where Braiding Sweetgrass left off," The Serviceberry prompts readers to imagine an alternative to today’s competition-obsessed economy and envision a world centered on reciprocity and gratitude.
Below are the details for this gathering:
- Location is Whiner Beer Company at The Plant. Our discussion will take place from 3-4:30pm, following the Reuse-a-Palooza event. We encourage participants to spend some time at Reuse-a-Palooza (details linked here) and check out Degrowth Institute’s booth before our gathering!
- No formal knowledge of degrowth is expected - all are welcome!
- We will cultivate a non-judgmental space where we allow for curiosity and a diversity of thoughts.
We look forward to seeing you!
