Bookmarks is holding our first ever used book sale, The Secondhand Story! For one night only, we are hosting a preview of the items that will be on sale at the event. Come peruse the selection, buy books, and hear Charlie Lovett and Megan Mulder share tips about book collecting. If you are building your own book collection and love finding books to add to that collection, this event is not to be missed!
Tickets are $25.00 and include entry to the event, early opportunity to buy books, and a glass of wine. Funds raised will support Bookmarks' programming in the community.

About the Speakers
Charlie Lovett
Charlie Lovett is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of five novels and one novella, including the Barnes and Noble Recommends selection The Bookman’s Tale, The Enigma Affair, and The Further Adventures of Ebenezer Scrooge. His novels have received praise in Parade, People, USA Today, The Washington Post, Woman’s Day, and other national publications. His non-fiction works include Lewis Carroll: Formed by Faith and more than a dozen other books. He is an award-winning playwright whose plays for children have been seen in over 5000 productions worldwide. His adaptation of A Christmas Carol has played to sold out audiences and his stage adaptation of his novel Escaping Dreamland premiered in 2024. He is the former president of the literary nonprofit Bookmarks, a member of the Dramatists’ Guild and Authors Against Banned Books, and host of the podcast Inside the Writer’s Studio. A former antiquarian bookseller, Charlie has collected books and other materials by and related to Lewis Carroll for over 40 years. He has written extensively on Carroll and owns treasures such as a first edition of Alice in Wonderland and Lewis Carroll's 1888 Hammond typewriter.
Megan Mulder
Megan Mulder is the Special Collections Librarian and Curator of the Rare Books Collection at Z. Smith Reynolds Library, Wake Forest University. Since 2010 she has been responsible for collection development, metadata, and exhibits for this collection of more than 65,000 print and manuscript materials spanning 800 years. She is lead instructor for LIB260 History of Material Texts, an undergraduate elective offered annually, and also teaches classes for Wake Forest's Lifelong Learning program. She collaborates with WFU faculty in all divisions to integrate special collections material into their curriculum. Megan received her M.A. in English Literature from the University of Virginia and M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
