Dr. Lindsey Smith will provide a short lecture on the latest data about sound bath instruments & their impact on the human body followed by an immersive sound-bath meditation including crystal bowls, tongue drums, & bells.
Dr. Smith is a neuroscientist, public science-education enthusiast, and certified Sound Healing Facilitator. She is a UAB trained synaptic physiologist specializing in Synaptic Plasticity and its modifiers. She has received several academic grants and awards, and has held positions as an Adjunct Professor, Senior Application Scientist, and Digital Pathology Specialist. She is a founder of Synaptic Harbor, where she aims to narrow the ever-widening gap between peer-reviewed science and the public, with affordable expert-led lectures in practical everyday topics.
