We couldn't be more excited to welcome back San Diegos most insane Rock n' Roll trio @theschizophonics the Harbour Bridge on the 19th January. Their last show under there in 2019 was at the time the craziest event we had witnessed under the bridge with people crammed everywhere, Guitarist Pat Beers throwing himself around like James Brown with worms and kids dancing like they were possessed by the dark spirit of rock n roll.So, we couldn't be more lucky to welcome them back this summer. As always bridge gigs are all ages, donation/koha entry (but give generously for international acts of this calibre) and all welcome.

For those of new to the part machine that is the Schizophonics on their fourth visit to these shores ...... Ridiculously high level ADHD James Brown/MC5 inspired, Detroit drenched, shredding rok & ass shimmying roll. Relentless, endless boogie from all points of the decade it thrived in, proto-punk prancing, Rolling Stones guitar chop, Sonics sixties garage thump & wail, soloing histrionics yanked from 70s stadiums & beamed in & on to caverns, sidewalks & clubs. Made up of husband & wife, Mr Pat & Mrs Lety Beers, a guitar & drums team based outta San Diego, California, with bassist Sarah Linton they have been on a mission of ruthless live touring since their last visit to Aotearoa in early 2023 ... since then they have opened for the Chats , Cosmic Psychos, Me First & The Gimmie Gimmies, L7 on their respective US tours
And that doesn't even mention that Pat Beers spends most of the set levitating ..... and is he playing one handed ? Is there another guitarist ? Did he really just stand on his head??? See for yourself .....
