The Sanity Thief Launch Party
The Inner Quest: An Invitation to the Launch of "Sanity Thief"
The greatest battles aren’t always fought on rugged mountaintops or in the neon-drenched alleys of a comic book city. Often, the most harrowing adventures take place within the quiet corridors of the mind.
We invite you to join us for an evening of community, culture, and storytelling as we celebrate the launch of Sanity Thief, the inaugural graphic novel in The Seeker Series. Created by the collaborative powerhouse of Lauren Jeffery, Jerome Cabanatan, and Sean Seurattan, this work reimagines the classic adventure tropes we love to explore a very modern adversary: Imposter Syndrome.
In a world that demands we constantly "mask" our true selves, Sanity Thief pulls back the curtain on the internal struggle for self-worth, using the vibrant language of sequential art to foster a much-needed dialogue on mental health.
The Evening’s Itinerary
Our celebration finds its home in the heart of Scarborough at Lakay Kusina, where the rich heritage of Filipino cuisine meets the creative energy of the "Seeker" community.
6:00 PM – The Social Ledger: Doors open for social mingling. Enjoy a curated selection of light snacks and beverages.
7:00 PM – From the Page to the Room: A guided reading of a pivotal excerpt from Sanity Thief, followed by a Meet the Creators Q&A session exploring the intersection of mental health and narrative art.
8:00 PM – Sketches & Vibes: Visit the Live Caricature Station to see co-creator Jerome Cabanatan bring your likeness to life in real-time.
8:30 PM – The Encore: We close the evening the way all great community gatherings should—with an optional Karaoke session to shake off the "Sanity Thief" and celebrate our collective voice.
