The Saffron Rescue Barket is a community market day dedicated to raising funds for rescue organisations — bringing together 8 rescue groups, 7 dog-loving small businesses, a coffee van, and Melbourne's most passionate animal-loving community for an afternoon of shopping with heart. 💚

Thanks to our Gold Sponsor Pug Parties covering all overheads (including venue hire — and Barks & Recreations have given us a very generous discount), 100% of event proceeds go directly to the rescues.

🕐 Event hours 12pm-2pm — bump-in 1.5hrs before, bump-out 1hr after close
🅿️ Large Bunnings carpark ~300m from venue
There are two types of rescue stalls available:
🐕 Meet & Greet Stalls (4 spots) — you may bring rescue dogs for the public to meet. Great for adoption awareness and community engagement.
🛍️ Merchandise/Awareness Stalls (4 spots) — merchandise, adoption info, and fundraising products. No animals due to space constraints.

🛍️ And there are seven business stalls available as well.

Please indicate your preference when you apply — we'll do our best to accommodate everyone — first in, best dressed!

Once confirmed, you'll receive a full stallholder pack including bump-in/out rules, day-of schedule, and all the details you need.
Stall spots are limited and we expect strong interest — please don't wait!

Info: Check in first- Find the Saffron coordinator on arrival before unloading. You'll be directed to your stall position.
Drop-off zone only- Vehicles may briefly pull up at the designated unloading point — do not block access routes or neighbouring stallholders.
Park at Bunnings- Once unloaded, move your vehicle to the Bunnings carpark (~300m). Street parking is very limited — please do not use it.
Stay within your footprint- Keep all display items within your allocated space. Do not encroach on walkways or adjacent stalls.
Bring everything you need- Tables, tablecloths, display stands, change float, bags, and all equipment. No spares available on-site.
No power supply- Battery-operated displays only. No power outlets available for stallholders.
Meet & greet stalls- Dogs must be settled and on lead before the venue opens. No dogs should be unsettled or stressed at open time.
Ready 15 min before open- All setup complete and stall presentable at least 15 minutes before public doors open.

Rescue Barket

Info: No human food sales — coffee van only. No other food or drink may be sold or distributed.
Dog policy - Only meet & greet rescue stalls may bring dogs. All dogs on short lead, under control at all times.
Weatherproof venue — the event is fully undercover. No wet weather cancellation. Do not promote it as an outdoor event.
Card payments encouraged — display your payment options clearly at your stall from the start.
No subletting — your stall is yours only. No sharing, selling, or transferring without prior written approval.
Raffle tickets — only the designated coordinator sells raffle tickets. Do not sell on behalf of others without permission.
Noise levels — keep music or audio at a conversational level. Respect neighbouring stalls and the venue.
First aid — first aid kit on-site with event coordinators. Emergencies: dial 000.

Info: Wait for the all-clear- Do not begin packing until the coordinator announces the event is officially closed.
No vehicles until public are gone- Vehicles may not enter the venue area until the coordinator confirms the public have cleared. Safety first.
Meet & greet dogs first- Rescue animals should be secured and removed from the venue before vehicles and heavy pack-down activity begins.
Pack your full stall- Everything you brought leaves with you — no items, products, packaging, or rubbish left behind.
Leave your space clean- Remove all tape, ties, or fixings. Clear any mess from your allocated area before leaving.
Rubbish in designated bins- Use the bins provided — do not leave rubbish bags on the ground or floor.
All clear by [Close + 1hr]- The venue must be fully vacated within one hour of close. Late departures risk affecting our relationship with Barks & Recreations for future events.
