The Sacred in Nature

Nature supports us greatly, giving us the air we breathe and the energy by which we exist. But the Earth offers us more than just our physical needs being met. She opens up a path to the transcendent, inviting us to slow down, pay attention, and notice the Sacred within and without.

At this in-person event, we will accept the Earth’s invitation and co-create a space of communal and individual reflection.

We will begin at 2pm with an opening sharing circle, reflecting on our relationship with nature. We will then explore that connection through a time of personal exploration of the McClellan Ranch Nature Preserve. This will be a pick-your-own-adventure type space, supported by an offering of spiritual practices from which to choose. We will then gather again for a closing circle, sharing our experiences and honoring what we received.

This event will be one of exploration and experience, centering and honoring each individual’s journey. This is not a space of dogma or right answers. Rooted in the Christian mystic tradition (an expansive and inclusive stream), all content and practices will be welcoming of and open to people of all backgrounds and spiritual paths.

This event is being co-promoted by Solarpunk Christian (solarpunkchristian.org), an organization that recognizes the sacred reality of our connection to the Earth.
