The Sabbath Dance takes the framework of Ecstatic Dance and uses it to explore Jewish ritual. By mapping the dance onto the mystical landscape of Kislev - a month of whispered dreams and subconscious depths, where the light of Chanukah pierces the longest darkness - we will explore the thematic resonances of dream and light through the modality of movement.
