About this Event
The S Word, a film directed by Lisa Klein. The film features a suicide attempt survivor on a mission to find fellow survivors and document their stories of courage.
This documentary puts a human face on suicide an often feared and misunderstood topic delving into the hearts and minds of suicide attempt survivors along with their families and loved ones. The film shines a light on a topic that has long been stigmatized, opens the conversation and strives to reduce the silence and shame often associated with suicide.
The film is 60 min (English with Spanish Subtitles) will be followed by a panel discussion.
We will have clinicians available.
Our program goal is to aid Suicide prevention and to break the stigma surrounding mental illness.
Suicide affects people of all races, ages, faiths, ethnicities, gender presentations, sexual orientations, professions and much more.
