A public talk by Mr. Bykov
About this Event

Dmitry Bykov is a prolific Russian writer, poet, and journalist. He is the author of poetry, novels, critical works, a prizewinning biography of Boris Pasternak, public commentary and journalism. In addition, Mr. Bykov is a popular and celebrated lecturer and media figure, who has appeared before large audiences in Russia and worldwide and is the host of a popular radio show. Mr. Bykov is a frequent and outspoken critic of the current leadership of Russia, who has refused multiple invitations to meet with President Putin in gatherings of the president with Russian cultural figures. Bykov is an opposition activist who has frequently appeared at and helped to organize opposition protests. In this lecture, Mr. Bykov will speak about Russian politics and society and its evolving place in the broader world.
