Willkommen im Jahr 2022 und die Welt hält den Atem an für das, was als nächstes kommt!
Für die Rumjacks; der Erzwungenen globale Shutdown hat die Band als Gelegenheit für einen Neuanfang genutzt und den neuen Leadsänger Mike Rivkees vorgestellt.
Mike hat sich durch seine bisherige Arbeit bereits einen Ruf als einer der charismatischsten, lustigsten und ehrlichsten Frontmänner der Szene erarbeitet. Mit seinen zahlreichen musikalischen Einflüssen aus; Ska und Hardcore bis hin zu einer Mischung aus traditioneller Folkmusik, Mikes Stimme und Songs ergänzen den vielfältigen Musikkatalog von The Rumjacks perfekt:

The Rumjacks stammen aus den Straßen von Sydney, Australien und wurden als eine Mischung aus den wegweisenden Bands The Clash und The Pogues beschrieben. Und mit ihren energiegeladenen Live-Shows haben sie die Pub-Szene von Sydney verlassen und sind nun Stammgäste auf den europäischen Bühnen. 2019 spielten sie auf Europas legendären Festivals: Groez Rock, Wacken Open Air und Hell Fest; sowie zuvor als Headliner bei Mighty Sounds und einem Auftritt auf der Hauptbühne beim großen Woodstock-Festival in Polen 2019. Es folgten ausverkaufte Clubshows in Frankreich, Rumänien, Deutschland und in vielen anderen Ländern.
Das Jahr 2020 begann mit einer erfolgreichen UK-Tournee, die auch zu mehreren ausverkauften Shows in England und Schottland führte und vor ihrem bisher größten britischen Publikum spielte.
Mit nun fünf Alben auf dem Buckel, zwei digitalen Veröffentlichungen „Live in Athens“ und „Live in London Acoustic Session“ starten sie 2022 wieder voll durch. Ihr YouTube-Kanal findet Tag für Tage neue Anhänger, die meisten Musikvideos haben über 1.000.000 Aufrufe und der legendäre Irish Pub Song hat bis heute insgesamt über 60 Millionen Klicks. Ihre Beliebtheit steigt von Tag zu Tag.
Die Rumjacks können nun endlich ihr Album "Hestia" und ihre aktuelle EP "Brass for Gold“, welche auf allen digitalen Plattformen erhältlich sind, live präsentieren. Freut euch auf einen feucht fröhlichen Abend mit den Jungs.

For The Rumjacks; the enforced global shutdown has presented the opportunity for a new beginning, announcing the arrival of Mike Rivkees who will be taking over as lead vocalist. Mike through his previous work has already developed a reputation as a one of the most charismatic, fun and honest frontman in the scene. With his numerous musical influences from; Ska and Hardcore, through to a mix of traditional folk music, Mike’s voice and songs compliment The Rumjacks diverse musical catalogue perfectly:

Hailing from the streets of Sydney Australia, The Rumjacks have been described as a mix between seminal bands The Clash and The Pogues; and, with their energetic live shows they have since departed the Sydney pub scene and are relgulars on the European circuit, 2019 saw them playing at Europe’s legendary festivals: Groez Rock, Wacken Open Air and Hell Fest; as well as previously headlining Mighty Sounds and a main stage appearance at Poland’s massive Woodstock festival. 2019 Also seen massive sold out club shows through out all of France, Romania, Germany and many more.
2020 kicked off with a successful UK tour also resulting in multiple sell out shows around England and Scotland and playing to their biggest UK audiences to date.
With five full length albums under their belt, two full length digital releases ‘Live in Athens’ and ‘Live in London Acoustic Session’; their YouTube channel has blown up with most music videos cracking over 1,000,000 views and the iconic Irish Pub Song now totally over 60 million views; The Rumjacks will be back in the studio recording their fifth studio album ready for release in the new year!
