In honor of Cinco de Mayo the French Legation is partnering with the Benson Latin American Collection and
Austin institution Joe’s Bakery to bring you our The Roots of Pan Dulce program.
Listen to an archival sound installation of Joe's Bakery founder Joe Avila discussing the origins and
significance of Mexican American baking traditions while enjoying pink cake, conchas and other sweet
bread favorites graciously provided by Joe’s Bakery.
The installation will be available May 7 – 11 during operation hours (11 a.m. – 4 p.m.).
The program is included with museum admission.
Baked goods will be available while supplies last.
