Presented by Echoes of the City KC, a Kansas City based nonprofit dedicated to shifting narratives by amplifying the stories of today’s Black leaders, culture shapers, and change-makers, the gala serves as the culminating public convening of The Roots & Rise DocumentarySeries and the official capstone event of Black Wealth Week KC, recognized by the City of Kansas City through an official proclamation. Through honoree tributes, distinguished award presentations, and curated storytelling moments, the evening elevates individuals whose work addresses structural inequities across wealth, access, health,culture, and opportunity bringing Black Wealth Week KC to a powerful and celebratory close.
