In the wine industry, we talk a lot about Old World vs New World. Old World being the European wine regions that started making wine under the cultural and political influence of the Ancient Roman Empire, and New World being the wine regions where those grapes were spread in the next era. But many wine experts and historians are now pointing out that there was a vast wine industry and tradition well before the Roman Empire. People have been making world-class wines in countries such as Croatia, Georgia, Lebanon, Greece, Armenia, and Ukraine for literal millenia, and those wine cultures still exist today.

We’re gathering some of the best DC wine distributors at The Roost to share some of our favorite wines made in these incredibly historic wine regions, both in old traditional methods and in moderrn innovative winemaking techniques! Join us on October 18th for a walk-around tasting featuring a 30 ultra-fine wines crafted sustainably in the Ancient World!

The price is $45 per person to taste through all of our favorite sparkling, white, orange, rosé, and red wines, and gain access to our fabulous bottle sale!
