Mark your calendars! Spring means 'Old Fashion Day at Honey Locust Farm.'
Our neighbors just 1.5 miles away, invite you to experience how life on the farm would be way back when. A FREE Family event open to the public, its a perfect Sunday trip to the country.
The Roo Ranch by Stokoe Farms will once again be at 'Old Fashion Day' offering private animal encounters. Get up close and personal with some of our farm animals, including; Joey Kangaroo, Sulcatta Tortoise, Russian Tortoise, Bearded Dragon, Three Banded Armadillo, Screaming Hairy Armadillo, Guinea Pigs, Patagonian Mara, and Hedgehogs. A portion of the proceeds will go to support the WNY Draft Horse Club. $15 pp, children 2 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
OLD FASHION DAY
Join us on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 10am for the 46th Old Fashion Day held at Honey Locust Farms sponsored by the Western NY Draft Horse and Pony Club.
Watch horses and ponies plowing and fitting the scenic fields in Livingston County.
**Free parking with handicap spots available.
Free Horse Drawn Wagon Rides all day.
*There will be a Chicken Barbeque ready at Noon. $15 for a half chicken and sides. This is put on by Punky's Chicken. Delicious!! It will be cooked on site so let the smell entice you while it cooks!
*We hope we will have several food trucks available with enough other types of food that you should not go home hungry!! ?
Get your lunch and grab a hay bale to sit on and watch the days proceedings happen.
*We will have an auction at NOON of completely donated items. There is a variety of goodies to suit everyone's fancy. Need a pie? How about horse items? Maybe a flower basket or new planted vegetable plant?? We have it all. Feel free to donate your non-junk items for the auction. Proceeds go to the draft horse club for future events.
We have a variety of vendors that appear every year. Crafts, honey, homemade goods, tie dye items, goat milk lotions, etc etc etc..
You can go home with a full stomach, crafts etc from our vendors and having enjoyed a nice wagon ride while watching horses work like they did years gone by and still some places today.
We will have our mares and foals on display for entertainment!
