About this Event
Sampson Orchestra of Cambridge Charity Concert: The Romantics
Get ready for an unforgettable evening with the Sampson Orchestra of Cambridge on 31st of January at the West Road Concert Hall. Dive into the works of three famous composers of the 19th-century Austro-German symphonic tradition our in-person charity concert, The Romantic. Bring your friends and let the music sweep you away!
The Sampson Orchestra of Cambridge, conducted by Darrell Davison, will begin with Schumann's Manfred Overture (1848), and will be followed by Bruch's renowned Violin Concerto No.1 (1868), featuring rising star soloist Basil Alter. The second half of the concert comprises Bruckner's wonderful "Romantic" Symphony No.4 (1874).
The Orchestra have chosen It Takes A City as the charity to benefit from their concert. We have been given a limited number of tickets to raise funds in support of our work with people experiencing homelessness in Cambridge. We are asking for a donation of £10 per ticket (you’re welcome to give more).
Follow the 'Get Tickets' button below to purchase and reserve your tickets. Please bring your Eventbrite e-ticket with you and we’ll exchange it for your physical tickets on the night. Some of the team from It Takes A City will be there to inform the audience about our projects and plans for the year ahead.
We look forward to seeing you there!
