About this Event
Policymakers and practitioners are largely unready for the shift in practice that needs to take place to support long term transformative innovation and sustainability efforts on the scale that the climate crisis demands. Design is an underpinning tenet of mission-oriented innovation and offers a way to cross the “say-do gap” with wise experimentation.
But how is it done? There are many methods for engaging users in design – Co-design, collaborative design and public participation strategies vary enormously.
Join our panel including , Deputy Director at Just Transitions Finance Lab, , PhD student at UCL IIPP, , Policy Lab Designer at UCL IIPP and , Director of Melbourne School of Design, as well as other experts to be announced, to find out more about how best to apply design and engagement strategies across different contexts, both in theory and in practice.
This event is part of the IIPP Forum 2024 'Rethinking the State' taking place on 12th and 13th June 2024. The Forum will explore new approaches to drive transformative public policy in the era of climate emergency. Find out more about the other sessions .
