This week marks the adjudication round of the Roedean School Music Competition, where talented young musicians will take to the stage and share their passion and artistry. We would like to wish all participants the very best of luck as they prepare to perform.
Be sure to mark your calendars for the Gala Evening on 5 June; an unforgettable celebration of musical excellence and a showcase of what has become one of Gauteng’s most prestigious music competitions.
Participants stand the chance to receive:
• Grand finale award: R4 500 for the virtuoso who delivers the
most outstanding performance
• Standing ovation award: R3 000 for the brilliant talent who
earns our second-highest accolade
• Bravo performance award: R2 000 for the exceptional musician
who secures third place
But these awards represent far more than monetary prizes. They are a recognition of countless hours of practice, courage, discipline, creativity, and the pursuit of excellence. The Roedean School Music Competition celebrates young artists who inspire through the universal language of music.
