Join Hungover & Haunted on Sunday 19th July for a night of absolute pleasure as we celebrate The Rocky Horror Picture Show at The Bee’s Mouth.
We’ll be screening the cult classic in all its camp, provocative and gloriously chaotic splendour.
Released in 1975, The Rocky Horror Picture Show began as a playful parody of science fiction and horror B-movies, filled with fabulous costumes, unforgettable songs and a celebration of everything unconventional. After a quiet initial release, it found its audience through midnight screenings, where fans began dressing up, dancing, singing along and calling back to the screen.
Those screenings became more than a night at the cinema. They created spaces where LGBTQ+ audiences and anyone who felt like an outsider could be loud, visible and completely themselves. That sense of belonging helped transform the film into one of cinema’s most enduring cult phenomena.
More than fifty years later, it still brings outsiders, exhibitionists and creatures of the night together. Whether you know every filthy little line or you’re a Rocky Horror virgin, loosen your inhibitions and surrender to absolute pleasure.
