About this Event
About this Event
The RNLI was founded in 1824 and since then over 146,000 lives have been saved. It is a charity funded almost entirely by donations and legacies and while it is an independent organisation it works closely with coastguards.Jo first became involved with the RNLI in Eastbourne as a child when she helped her father collect outside departmental stores. When she moved to Hurstpierpoint she joined a fundraising committee helped raise many thousands of pounds over the years. The committee sadly folded during Covid but Jo continues to give talks to promote the RNLI.
