The Riverbend Sessions 2024 is a showcase of TWO fabulous live bands bringing the best of rockin’ blues to the home of the Bombers (North Launceston Football Club) at UTAS Stadium Level 2 Function Centre on Invermay Rd! This fabulous venue has sweeping views of the stadium, full bar facilities and a great bar menu available at our event.Headlining this year is Hobart based Justin O’Garey & his Lads, bringing an explosive energy to the stage! This dynamic performer will leave you shaking in your boots… Justin has been performing around Tas since 2007, gaining recognition with bands such as “Scenic Flights” and “Justin O’Garey & The Howling Blues Hounds”, however Justin’s latest venture with “The Lads” has been some of his best work yet. With his energetic stage show, he’ll leave you screaming for more; Justin was born to perform!
The support for this year is Colin “Illy” Hill and Band -
Colin Hill [illy] is a highly acclaimed guitarist & vocalist currently performing and teaching in Phuket, Thailand, with a wealth of international experience at the highest levels of the music industry, both on and off the stage. With an uncanny ability to play any style of music and yet still produce a distinct guitar sound and style Colin Hill has been in constant demand in all forms of the industry for the last 40 years (over 16,000 performances!) throughout the world. Having performed in corporate, cover, tribute and original bands and acts, and with some major international stars his experience is second to none.
