About this Event

Early Forced Marriages continue to impact young girls or boys across the UK.

But for some of them, especially for those from the Roma communities, it is much harder to engage with the relevant services.

Difficulties in engagement are encountered when such cases are reported by young people, when referrals are made by other services or when support is requested.

Roma organisations Care for Young Peoples Future, E-Romnja and Roma Support Group are inviting those interested to an event debating on:

- Why do we need to talk about early/forced marriages & Roma?

- Current legal/ policy framework and challenges for Roma;

- Available support services and challenges Roma have accessing them.

Join us on Thursday 20 June 2024, 9:00 to 13:00 at Voluntary Action Islington, 200A Pentonville Rd, London N1 9JP
