The Rhythm, Rhyme, and Revolutions of Boston: Live Music Hop Tour

Live music keeps the rhythm of the city going, let's support it! Join for a casual and fun tour linking several live music sites around the city in multiple neighborhoods. You'll get to listen to a variety of genres and styles. On the way, learn a bit about the history and explore ways to support a better future, like through mutual-aid community fridges, improving transit, preventing food waste, and of course directly supporting local artists and venues that give them a platform locally!

Logistics:

We'll meet at the UnCommon Stage by Emerson College, a short walk from The Embrace. We'll finish next to Fenway Park but feel free to leave part-way, or to join later on.

Plan for Thursdays in October, for an idea of timing, won't be this exact like if one place feels good to stay longer, and other places options, but this timing highlights the best parts of as many venues as possible:

7:30 BAMS Fest at the UnCommon Stage by Emerson College (free to attend, with food and drink available)

Walk through Theater District and Chinatown

8:30 Hobgoblin Piano Bar in Downtown Crossing (some purchase needed and tipping artist)

Take the T from Park Street to Hynes Convention Center, exiting by new Lyrik Park

9:15 pm The Bebop Open Mic next to Berkley College of Music (some purchase needed, sharable food is an economoic option, nonalcoholic drinks available)

Walk past Symphony Hall, sharing food at the Community Fridge

10 pm - Wally's Cafe Jazz Club at Boston's Jazz Square (some purchase needed, drinks available including nonalcoholic)

Up and over to Fenway, next to MGM Music Hall and House of Blues

11:15 pm - Loretta's Last Call (inexpensive food available, like donuts under $3)

The amount spent at the venues across all stops could total ~$35-40 if being savvy, plus tipping artists when applicable. This is open to all, so send a message if you want to join but if that's going to be a barrier, we might be able to help!
