Three-time Blues Music Award nominees The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band bring their high-energy, foot-stomping blend of country blues, roots and rock & roll to the Bayboro stage.
Called “the greatest front-porch blues band in the world,” the Big Damn Band is led by Reverend Peyton, widely regarded as one of today’s premier fingerstyle guitarists. Their sound is deeply rooted in the country blues traditions that first inspired the band to make pilgrimages to Clarksdale, Mississippi, where they learned from blues legends including T-Model Ford, Robert Belfour and David “Honeyboy” Edwards.
Their album Dance Songs for Hard Times hit #1 on the Billboard, iTunes and SiriusXM Blues charts and was produced by Grammy Award winner Vance Powell.
Their latest record, Honeysuckle, was produced and recorded by Reverend Peyton and mixed by eight-time Grammy winner Vance Powell, known for his work with Chris Stapleton and Jack White. The album features an incredible lineup of guests, including The McCrary Sisters, Blues Music Hall of Famer Billy Branch, Grammy-winning fiddler Michael Cleveland and Colton Crawford of The Dead South.
