Join us for a rich and inspiring opportunity to perform in a new multimedia theatrical bellydance production and to connect with other dancers! We only have 4 roles left! Invaders of the Heart 2024: The Return is a multimedia dance theater production from renowned choreographer and director Myra Krien, featuring the Mosaic Dance Company, the Starbelly Dancers, Drake Von Trapp, and Kamrah. By exploring sacred symbols of rebirth, renewal, ecstasy, and our inextricable interconnectedness with the natural world, The Return looks to the past as a touchstone for examining our present and building our collective future. With prominent artist Michael’s Bergt paintings as a striking backdrop for the dance, this collaboration is both visually stunning and powerfully prescient for these times.
Residency Schedule: May 19th-25th. Performance at the National Dance Institute, Friday and Saturday, May 24th and 25th.
Residency Includes:
-Instruction in original choreographies by Myra Krien
-The opportunity to perform for a live audience
-A chance to wear some of Myra Krien’s hand-crafted, gorgeous costume pieces and props from her collection during the performance
-A truly priceless experience of bringing this artistic, collaborative vision to life on stage!
This opportunity is available to intermediate-advanced level dancers. These residencies are a great way to grow as a performer and will offer opportunities for networking and bonding with activities and informal dinners (not included in the retreat fee).
The participation fee is $650 per participant per production and can be paid in full or a payment plan can be requested. *Lodging, food and travel expenses are NOT included in residency fee*
