Why Rest?

Because what has not resting gotten you?

Did you know that taking time away from all the busyness of life has been linked to more life? That's right, and a study showed that overworked people literally died before those who could make proper rest a priority. Rest isn't just a strategy. It's essential to longevity! John knew that when Jesus said, "...I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]." (John 10:10), that idea is directly tied to what Jesus said about his burden: "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me,[...] and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30)

But this is not good enough for us, is it, ladies? No, we're #BossGirls and #SuperMoms! So we work tirelessly, taking on not only the full-time job or the business and side hustles that demand way more than 40 hours a week for the illusion of an Instagram-worthy lifestyle. But it is an illusion because I know you're working harder than an InstaStory will ever show.

Did you know that even if both spouses work from home, typically, we women spend nearly 9 hrs a week on the household and childcare? That's three months of a full-time job over a year–and the kids aren't paying! We're working harder, but there's a better way. A key to the abundant life tied directly to Jesus' easier yoke and lighter burden.

You don't have to do it alone; even if you're a single mom or single lady, God wants you to stop and rest!

We've been hosting retreats both virtual and in-person for six years, and every year it gets better and better. You need to come and learn what so many other ladies have learned, that Jesus is our rest, and He has a way of life for you that gets you everything you ever wanted, and it's in Him. But you have to stop and rest.

Over the years, ladies who've enjoyed our retreats always want to introduce this rest to their friends who desperately need it. So we're going on the road and bringing rest to women, with Rest Stops!
