Five women who built independent political media outside of any institution, on turning an audience into a movement, and what it costs.

Amanda McGonigle (@catsonacouch) is a Massachusetts-based content creator, advocate, and activist with a following of over three million across platforms. She has traveled the country in the wake of ICE violence, raising more than $200,000 for the people harmed by it and standing in solidarity with immigrant communities. She is currently suing the administration for infringing on our First Amendment rights.

Amanda (@amandainformed) is a Florida-based political content creator and activist, known online as Amanda Informed. She covers Florida politics, immigration, and reproductive rights, tracking a legislature that moves fast and often out of public view. She hosts The Political Pour podcast and built the Chaos Caucus, a community of people who refuse to look away.

Robbin (@pullupspastapolitics) is the independent political journalist and content creator behind Pullups Pasta Politics. She breaks down policy, legislation, and government action into clear, accessible content that moves everyday people to civic participation. Her work runs on a simple premise: the details matter, and anyone can follow them if someone bothers to explain.

Pari (@women_inamerica) is one half of Women in America, a platform she co-runs with her friend Eve. Both are public health experts and content creators, focused on building a world where women and girls have equal rights. Their advocacy pushed HHS to rewrite national guidelines on non-consensual pelvic exams at teaching hospitals, and forced three institutional investigations into the Epstein files.

Eliza Orlins (moderator) (@eorlins Instagram) spent 15 years as a public defender in Manhattan and ran for Manhattan DA in 2021 on a decarceral, police accountability platform. She now reaches more than 1.7 million people across platforms with primary-source legal reporting, turning court filings, Supreme Court opinions, and the Epstein files into something people will actually pay attention to. She is also a two-time Survivor contestant.
