And just to be clear we WILL RETURN this fall!! (And maybe sooner)
Return:
Return is defined as “coming back to”. It can be a place, a feeling, a version of yourself you almost forgot.
When I think about Return I think about “Solar Return” as the cycles of life. The season of the years and the seasons of The Residency, the loops we create in realtime and the beats we always return to… How each cycle is so different, and how much of it is exactly the same…
How is "Return" showing up in your body? In your dance? In your life?
For The Season Closer Thursday, ITAI 🎷 invites Mendeleyev as our special guest for a "Swanning" experience that brings this chapter full circle.
Every Thursday we have been forming new "Sound Connections" as in - connection with others, connection with our self, and connection with something bigger than us... Let's return to what matters. Let return to each other✨
And just to be clear we WILL RETURN this fall
✨ Mendeleyev 🎤
Mendeleyev is a baritone Singer, Songwriter, and Producer based in LA, whose low booming voice turned all 4 chairs on Season 17 of NBC's The Voice on John Legend's Team. He headlined the 4th of July at The Rose Bowl Stadium, singing for 30,000 people — yet his music stays fresh, folky, and funky, full of energy and always reaching for something new. Co-founder of the LA community singing group Harmonize, Mendeleyev is as rooted in community as he is in performance. A voice this big in a room this intimate is something you won't forget.
✨ ITAI 🎷🎹 ITAI is a Los Angeles-based saxophonist and live-electronic artist whose music lives at the intersection of Middle Eastern roots, jazz improvisation, and groove-forward electronics. As the founder of The Residency, he has built something rare a weekly space where curated artists meet in real time, creating one-night-only Sound Connections that can't be replicated or streamed.
Every show is its own thing. Come find out why.

📵 The Dance floor is a “No Phone Zone”: we record the sessions and take some snippets so you don’t have to, stay in the moment, and we will lyk where you can find some fun shots later.

***If you want to add an instrument please coordinate in advance and get the OK
*** All Sets are being filmed and recorded!
🤫 Let’s keep deep conversations off the dancing areas... It’s not meant to be a “no talking” environment and most people are trying to connect with the music in a non-verbal way. A great place for deeper conversations is the Tea Lounge (:
The Tea Lounge đź«–
As The Tea Lounge becomes an inseparable part of The Residency's cozy season.
With a special "tea guest" this time around!!!
Tea Lounge opens at 8pm, please join us for a cup of tea games and a hang.
The Story of The Residency - Sound Connections:
From ITAI: "This new season of The Residency is about intimacy and presence. Most weeks, we’ll feature one very special guest artist, sitting across from me as we create the soundtrack for the night from scratch.
A concept I like calling "Swanning": Like two swans facing each other in a moment of deep connection, this allows us to share and respond, creating something raw, alive, and unrepeatable. In this format, the audience surrounds the face-to-face artists which forms a circle that makes everyone part of the experience. Step into the circle (:
