The Red Masquerade World AIDS Day Ball

For over 40 years, HIV stigma has prevented far too many people from accessing the care, support, and community they deserve. Whether it’s HIV treatment, PrEP, testing, or simply having a friend to talk things through with, we all deserve to live proudly, boldly, and with respect holding our heads high and refusing to be defined by stigma or shame.Tonight, we celebrate the lives of everyone impacted by HIV by unmasking the stigma, shame, and silence that have forced so many of us to hide pieces of ourselves.
For EVERY CATEGORY, bring it in a creative RED MASK with an accompanying look. The theme and interpretation are completely up to you, but your purpose is clear: UNMASK IT!
Unmask everything we have been told to hide. Unmask the shame. Unmask the fear. Unmask the stigma.
Tonight, we celebrate those who came before us, honor those who are still here, and create a freer, more affirming future for those yet to come.Tonight, we don’t hide LIVE, we CELEBRATE, and we UNMASK!
