Join fellow runners for targeted sports recovery training at Balboa Park!
Come experience a different approach to sports recovery with Mike Cohen, Licensed Acupuncturist and fellow marathon runner (14 marathons completed). This isn't your typical group fitness class - it's specialized training designed specifically for runners who want to enhance performance, recover faster, and prevent injuries.
This Week's Focus: Shin Splints
Learn why shin splints happen and what you can actually do to prevent them. We'll explore the real root causes (hint: it's usually not your shins) and practice targeted techniques to address the patterns that create this frustrating injury.
What to Expect:
Experience an "aha moment" as we reveal the surprising connection behind shin splint pain

- Station 1: Release - Targeted techniques to calm overworked muscles
- Station 2: Activate - Wake up the muscles that have gone to sleep
- Station 3: Integrate - Put it all together for better running mechanics
πββοΈ Recovery Movement - Easy walk, jog, or run between stations (your choice!) or individual pattern discussions

Mike Cohen brings a unique perspective as both a licensed acupuncturist specializing in sports medicine AND a fellow runner who's completed 14 marathons. He understands your training goals because he shares them. (Don't worry - no needles at this event! Just hands-on movement education.)
